Husband : The gathering of friends , the popular dancing and the songs that are sung and the way it is eaten .
الزوج : اجتماع الأصدقاء والرقص الشعبي والأغاني التي تُغنى والطريقة التي تؤكل بها .
Wife : Do you mean other meals are eaten differently .
الزوجة : هل تقصد أن هناك وجبات ٍ أخرى تؤكل بطريقةٍ مختلفة ؟
Husband : I mean nothing can be more delicious than eating a handful of Kabsa and pushing it gently and slowly into your mouth . You have the feeling that you are eating some thing fabulous .
الزوج : أقصد لا شيء يمكن أن يكون أمتع من تناول قبضة ٍ من الكبسة ودفعها بلطف وبطءٍ داخل الفم . عنده تشعرين بأنّكِ تتناولين شيئاً لا يُصدق .
Wife : Do you mean the guests will have such a wonderful sensation that will forget about dancing and singing .
الزوجة : هل تعني أن الضيوف سيراودهم إحساسٌ جميلٌ جداً بحيث ُ ينسون الرقص والغناء ؟
Husband : On a wedding day like this people eat and dance .
الزوج : في يوم زفاف كهذا يأكل الناس ويرقصون .
Wife : What about the fencing .
الزوجة : وماذا عن المبارزة بالسيف ؟
Husband : That'll make it especially unforgettable .
الزوج : ذلك سيجعل الوليمة أمراً لا ينسى إطلاقاً .

الزوجة : ولكننا نحتاج إلى مبارزين بارعين . ففي يوم زفاف أخي جُرحَ مبارزٌ بصورةٍ خطيرة .
Husband : I think that the more Kabsa fencers eat, the better job they will do .
الزوج: أعتقد أن المبارزين كلما أكلوا مزيداً من الكبسة أجادوا المبارزة .
Wife : I disagree with you . It all depend on the spices mixed with Kabsa . Conversely, the less Kabsa fencers eat, the better job they will do . It's spices that motivate them to action .

Husband : What makes me happy is that our son's wedding day will witness such a historic banquet that everybody will talk about . Besides , some well-known singers are going to sing one of the most popular songs . I personally am going to dance , which is a tradition being observed here .
