Student : could you ,sir, tell us something about man's will ? Actually , we are badly in need of motivation . most of us think that failure in life is due to luck, which make us idle. If we just were motivated, we would imagine that success is a result of personal will or determination . by the way , that would remind me of theme of the American writer Ernest Hemingway's short novel " the old Man and the Sea " which says man may be overcome , but he cannot defeated .
الطالب : هلاّ سمحت يا سيدي أن تخبرنا شيئاً عن إرادة الإنسان ؟ فالحق أننا بحاجة ٍ ماسةٍ إلى التحفيز , فمعظمنا يحسب أن الإخفاق في الحياة ناتجٌ عن الحظ مما يدفعنا إلى الخمول ، فلو أننا تحفزنا لكان باستطاعتنا أن نتصور أنّ النجاح هو نتيجة الإرادة الشخصية أو التصميم ، وعلى فكرة فإنّ ذلك يذكرني بموضوع الرواية القصيرة " الشيخ والبحر " للكاتب الأمريكي إرنست همنغواي التي تفيد بأن الإنسان يمكن أن يقهر ولكن لا يمكن أن يهزم .
Teacher : it's really interesting to talk about man's determination . as a matter of fact , we can bring many examples to signify the importance of man's invincible will . the American writer's story describe a fisherman who was so determined to gain the battle against a big fish that, despite many attempts , he succeeded in the long run. The story is really interesting and motivated to all those who have a shakable determination .
المعلم : إنه لأمر مهم فغلا أن نتحدث عن تصميم الإنسان ، والحق أننا يمكن أن نضرب العديد من الأمثلة للدلالة على أهمية إرادة الإنسان التي لا تقهر ، فقصة الكاتب الأمريكي تصف صياداً كان مصمماً أن يكسب المعركة ضد سمكةٍ كبيرة إلى درجة أنه , رغم محاولاته العديدة اللا مجدية , فقد تمكن من النجاح نهاية المطاف , والقصة ممتعة فعلا ومحفزة لكل الذين يملكون تصميما مهزوزاً .
Student : excuse me, sir, but when I was in a primary school, the teacher told us the story of an ant that was so determined that it could climb the wall to store food for winter . I was so impressed by the way the teacher told us the story that I still remember it . I sometimes ask myself whether I am determined as an ant . in fact , Ernest Hemingway might have remembered the ant example to base his short novel on .
الطالب : عفواً يا سيدي ، لكني عندما كنت في مدرسة ابتدائية أخبرنا الأستاذ قصة نملة كانت مصممة إلى درجة أنها استطاعت أن تتسلق الجدار لتخزين الطعام لفصل الشتاء ، ولقد تأثرت بالطريقة التي قص بها الأستاذ علينا هذه القصة بحيث أنني لا أزال أتذكرها وأسأل نفسي أحياناً إن كنت أملك التصميم الذي تملكه نمله . وفي الواقع فإن ّ إرنست همينغواي ربما تذكر مثال النملة ليبني روايته القصيرة عليه .
Teacher : it's real fun to remember simple examples . I think imitating such examples is a great motive to guide us in life . almighty God created countless examples to show us how determination works. We seldom keep such instance in mind. We tend to think that we should be too elevated to bring such examples . if only we could realize how useful it would be to imitate such creatures .
المعلم : إنه من الممتع فعلا أن نتذكر أمثلة بسيطة ، فأنا أحسب أن تقليد مثل هذه الأمثلة هو حافز كبير يرشدنا في الحياة . لقد خلق الله العي القدير أمثلة لا تعد ولا تحصى ليرينا كيف يعمل التصميم . ونحن قلما نضع مثل هذه الأمثلة نصب أعيننا ، فنحن نميل إلى الظن بأننا نجب أن نكون أرقى من أن نضرب مثل هذه الأمثلة . كم نتمنى لو استطعنا أن ندرك فائدة تقليد هذه المخلوقات .

Student : could you tell us in a few word what man's will is? We are really unable to understand the significance of determination despite the fact that we repeatedly hear of it .
الطالب : هلاّ سمحت بأن تخبرنا بإيجازٍ ماذا تعني إرادة الإنسان ، فنحنُ لسنا قادرين على فهم أهمية التصميم رغم أننا نسمع به مراراً وتكرارً .
Teacher : man's will is man's desire to advance man existence through work . it's work that removes obstacles and makes impossible yesterday the commonplace of today . probably, the gigantic structure that man has built might be taken as good examples . let's for instance , take the pyramids . of course , I am not going to go into details, but I would say that it was man's will and determination that made such incredible structures possible . even in a modern life . a good example would be what we call skyscrapers . anybody would just have a look at those wonders of modern life , but he is unaware of the tireless efforts exerted in the construction . thousands of people died to bring up these gigantic structures, but the problem is that common people think that such wonders were built overnight .
المعلم : إن إرادة الإنسان هي رغبته في دفع وجوده إلى الأمام عن طريق العمل ، فالعمل هو الذي يزيل العوائق ويجعل ُ ما كان مستحيلاً بالأمس ممكناً اليوم ، ولعل الإنشاءات العملاقة التي بناها الإنسان يمكن أخذها أمثلة جيدة . فلنأخذ على سبيل الأمثلة الأهرامات . طبعا إنني لن أدخل في التفاصيل لكنني أود القول بأن إرادة الإنسان وتصميمه جعلا هذه الإنشاءات التي لا تصدق أمراً ممكناً . وحتى في الحياة الحديثة فهناك مثلٌ جيدٌ يمكن أن نراه فيما نطلق عليه ناطحات السحاب ، فأي إنسان يود أن يلقي نظرة عل أعاجيب الحياة الحديثة هذه غير مدرك للجهود المضنية التي بذلت في إنشائها . إنّ آلافاً من الناس ماتوا من أجل أن ترتفع هذه الإنشاءات الشامخة ، إن آلافاً من الناس العاديين ماتوا من أجل أن ترتفع هذه الإنشاءات الشامخة ، لكنّ المشكلة أن العاديين من الناس يحسبون أن هذه الأعاجيب بُنيت بين عشيةٍ وضحاها .
Student : Now I realize that all great achievement are created by man's invincible will . probably, the ant example is good evidence .
الطالب : لقد أدركت أن كل الانجازات العظيمة إنما تعود إلى إرادة لا تقهر ولعل النملة كانت مثالاً جيداً لتقديم هذا الدليل .

Tourist : I really can't believe my eyes . I wonder that hand built this citadel . it's really fabulous . nobody could imagine the power that lifted those huge stones . it must be a supernatural power that made it a tangible reality .
Guide : it's no wonder , guy ! When you have the will to build something , you can turn it into reality . This citadel, just like any gigantic structure , is only an embodiment of man's will power.
ما أروع هذه القلعة !
السائح : فعلاً لا أستطيع أن أصدق عيني . فأنا أتساءل أية يد بنت هذه القلعة . إنها خرافية فعلاً فلا أحد يقدر على أن يتصور القوة التي رفعت هذه الأحجار الضخمة . لا بد أن قوة خارقة هي التي جعلتها واقعاً ملموساً .
المرشد : لا عجب أيها الشاب ، فعندما تملك الإرادة لبناء شيء فأنت تقدر على تحويله إلى واقع . وهذه القلعة، مثل أي بناءٍ عملاق ، ليست سوى تجسيدٍ لقوة إرادة الإنسان .
